Python Job: Backend Developer - Python

We are seeking an experienced developer to join a solid multidisciplinary team working on a variety of products used by Storyful’s News and Intel team and external clients. By joining our team you will have the opportunity to shape the direction of our products by being involved in the process from start to finish.

Responsibilities will include:

• Quality, maintainability, performance and security of backend code
• Collaborate effectively with product owners, other developers and non-technical stakeholders
• Promote continuous improvement in all aspects of the development lifecycle

Ideally you’ll have:

• 3+ years of Ruby or Python experience
• Record of building and shipping product
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
• Experience with an Agile methodology; e.g. Scrum, Kanban, XP

Nice to have:

• Experience with PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Redis.
• Interest in containerisation and orchestration technologies; such as Docker, Compose, Kubernetes
• Familiarity with a GNU/Linux or UNIX environment
• Experience with TDD
